Biography
Tal Behar is Founder and President of PMWC, International. In 2009, partnering with Stanford Health Care she launched the first Precision Medicine World Conference in Silicon Valley. Through the years she has steadily grown the conference to attract more than 2500 attendees and 400 speakers, representing 200+ companies and scores of exhibitors. Today, PMWC, Silicon Valley is the leading cross-sector global forum for professionals who are focused on personalized medicine. Tal shepherds the conference’s founding vision--to serve as a catalyst for cross-functional collaboration toward the adoption of personalized medicine in the clinic, for the benefit of patients. Through the years PMWC has been held throughout the world and welcomed esteemed partners and co-sponsors such as UCSF, the University of Michigan, UPMC, Duke Health, Duke University, the University of Oxford and Johns Hopkins. Tal is also a co-founder of Silicom Ventures, the private high-tech investor forum that provides funding to early-stage companies. Under her leadership, hundreds of high technology-focused events have convened both in Silicon Valley and abroad.
