Biography
Lisa has a background in math and computer science and a PhD in Bioinformatics, with over 15 years experience in software and methods that bridge genomic and clinical data to advance the understanding of biology and improve patient care. In her role at AWS, Lisa develops strategy and tactical initiatives for the genomic industry to implement best practices for cloud workloads and define solutions for innovative and emerging applications. Building from her experience in cancer research from Fred Hutch, she is dedicated to lowering barriers in data analysis to facilitate collaborative and reproducible research as well as accelerate translation into clinical outcomes.
