Executive Director, CNY Biotech Accelerator

Biography
Kathi manages client interaction, facility operations, policy development, supportive programming and advancement of collaborative partnerships such as the Kingston Syracuse Pathway (KSP). KSP is a cross-border group working to solidify research collaboration and business growth opportunities. Kathi created the Medical Device Innovation Challenge, an intensive mentorship, and resource-rich program which has graduated 16 early-stage startup teams since the program was initiated in 2017. Kathi serves as a Board Member for both MedTech, a non-profit trade organization, and the Business Incubator Association of New York State and is an Adjunct Assistant Professor. Kathi is the Medical Device Annual Conference Chair and GCP Certification Instructor for the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA). She also serves on the Human Factors Engineering Committee and Clinical Investigations Working Group for the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI). Most importantly, Kathi has 3 daughters and 6 very active grandchildren.

CNY Biotech Accelerator

Central New York Biotech Accelerator (CNYBAC) is located in an Opportunity Zone. CNYBAC staff promote programs, manage wet lab licensing, coordinate access to Upstate Medical University expertise and CORE Facilities, and match resources to biotech innovators within a collaborative ecosystem.

This presentation will provide an overview of the programs and partnerships that are generated through the Central New York Biotech Accelerator and our vibrant collaborative ecosystem. We do not compete for clients, rather we work together to support startup growth.
