Biography
Dr Christopher Austin is the International Clinical Lead for Academic Medicine, Research Organizations and Hospitals with Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he leads the strategy for enabling providers and researchers to leverage the power of AWS technologies. Dr Austin is a UK trained radiologist and innovator, and has worked in imaging AI since 2016. Prior to AWS, he served as Medical Director for Imaging AI with GE Healthcare. More recently, he was Chief Medical Officer at Kheiron Medical Technologies, partnering with academic medical centers and hospitals to develop, evaluate, and deploy novel medical imaging AI solutions. In 2021, Dr Austin was appointed as an advisor to the Scottish Government’s AI Alliance, and is a recognized thought leader in digital health, contributing to articles in Fast Company, Dot Med, AIMed and Aunt Minnie. He is a medical graduate of the University of Glasgow and trained in radiology at University College London.
