Biography
Charles Jaffe is the CEO of HL7 International. He completed his medical training at Johns Hopkins and Duke Universities and post-doctoral training at NIH and the Lombardi Cancer Center. He served in various academic positions in the Departments of Medicine and in the School of Engineering. Previously, he was the Senior Global Strategist at Intel, led a national research consortium, found a consultancy for research informatics, served as the VP of Medical Informatics at AstraZeneca, and the VP of Life Sciences at SAIC. He was the contributing editor for several journals and has published on clinical research, informatics, and healthcare policy.
