Ketan is the VP of Diagnostics Information Solutions at Roche. The DIS business aims to harness the power of data, diagnostics and other critical information to support better clinical decisions. Prior to this role Ketan was a Managing Director at Health2047 a startup funded by the American Medical Association developing and commercializing solutions for data liquidity, chronic care, productivity, security, and payments. As the former GM of Health and Life Sciences, Ketan spent 19 years at Intel, where he served as Head of Product and Head of Engineering on a variety of cutting-edge technologies along with being the Technical Advisor and Chief of Staff to the Intel Chief Technology Officer. He has been a member of the US HIT Standards Committee Precision Medicine Task Force, AAAS-FBI-UNICRI Project on Life Sciences and National and Transnational Security, International Telecommunication Union’s Global Cybersecurity Working Group and World Health Organization’s Experts Working Group on eHealth.
AI in Healthcare – Regulation and Policy Implications
AI is creating a revolution in healthcare. But along with this revolution comes questions about liability and ac-countability, interpretability and explain-ability, algorithmic bias and representative data and host of other con-cerns and issues. In this talk we will share the key challenges, activities in progress across the globe and suggest how we as a community can traverse the maze of AI governance to support innovation while minimizing risks.
