Patient Reported Outcome Platform for Cancer Patients in Brazil
As the incidence of cancer continues to rise, concerns over increasing patient-to-doctor ratio and the difficulties of following each clinical scenario are amplified. Particularly in developing countries, a lack of infrastructure for individualized symptom management prevents accurate portrayal of patients’ conditions during the course of treatment. WeCancer aims to solve this problem by providing a mobile and web-based self-tracking platform for oncology patients and physicians to facilitate individualized treatment. During this talk, I will be introducing WeCancer’s current services available to patients and physicians, future directions, and the academic studies that support the effectiveness of such Patient-Reported-Outcome measures.
