Patient-reported Outcomes – The New Driving Force in Cancer Care
Recent randomized controlled trials have shown survival benefits of several months, when digital patient-reported outcomes tools are implemented in cancer care. These results are expected to speed up the paradigm shift from reactive to proactive care that is enabled by modern PROs technology, smart algortihms and digital data. PROs have the potential to become one of the new driving forces in cancer treatment decision making.
